Roberto Capuano, born in 1987 and raised in the Neapolitan underground scene, is a prominent figure in the contemporary techno world, known for representing the Naples techno sound globally. Immersed in electronic music from a young age, he honed his skills as a sound engineer and A&R for the label Unrilis. Capuano’s recording career began in 2009 with an EP on Markantonio’s label MKT, and he quickly gained recognition for his distinctive style and catchy melodies, such as the track “Never Stop” on Truesoul. His breakthrough came in 2013 with his first full EP on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode label, featuring the hit “Vertigo.” He continued to release notable tracks like “Obsessed” and “Dish Ya Now,” showcasing his evolving sound. Capuano is also known for his collaborations, including with Luigi Madonna on the track “Midfield” for Pan Pot’s label Second State, and with artists like Jay Lumen and Pleasurekraft. As a DJ, he draws inspiration from the dancefloor, expertly manipulating a crowd’s energy through his use of modern equipment, looping, and layering. He has performed at major events such as Awakenings, Ultra Miami, Sonar OFF Week, and Drumcode showcases, creating unforgettable moments for his audience. Capuano’s passion for music and his connection with dancers have been central to his career from the beginning to today.
