BIO
Dave Clarke is an icon of electronic music, known for his distinctive style and unwavering dedication to techno. Nicknamed The Baron of Techno by John Peel, he has built a career spanning over three decades, remixing and collaborating with artists such as Depeche Mode, The Chemical Brothers, Underworld, and New Order.Originally from Brighton, Clarke’s influences range from European electronica to Chicago and Detroit techno, as well as punk and new wave. Beyond his music production, he is a renowned DJ and radio host, with his White Noise show on RTE 2fm surpassing 1,000 episodes over nearly 20 years.
Throughout his career, he has released landmark albums like Archive One and Devil’s Advocate, worked with Skint Records, and remixed artists including Placebo and Octave One. In 2017, he returned with The Desecration of Desire, featuring collaborations with Louisahhh and Mark Lanegan. For over a decade, Clarke has been based in Amsterdam, remaining a key figure in the electronic scene. He has played at prestigious clubs such as Fabric, Fuse, and Tresor, as well as major festivals like Glastonbury, I Love Techno, and ADE, where he has hosted his own event at Melkweg for 18 years.
In 2024, he celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Red Series, reissuing classic tracks like Protective Custody and Wisdom To The Wise, reaffirming his lasting impact on the global techno scene. A fiercely independent and visionary artist, Dave Clarke continues to inspire new generations of DJs and producers.
